Any changes in your urinary function are the first symptoms of kidney disease. If you are waking up during the night to go to the bathroom, and this is not a usual occurrence for you, this is a sign that something may be going on with your kidneys. Changes in the amount and color of your urine are another red flag. If you are voiding larger amounts than usual, and the color of the urine is very light or pale, or, on the other hand, if you are only putting out small amounts and the color is very dark, make an appointment with a doctor or a urologist.

Causes of Kidney Disease

While it may be caused from something else entirely, it is still in your best interest to schedule a visit to the doctor’s office. Signs of Kidney Disease

Other signs of kidney diseases may include a shortness of breath, feeling cold all the time, dizziness and the inability to concentrate for any length of time, and pain in the back or flank in the area of the affected kidney. If you have a history of this disease in your family, you are also at risk. Know your medical and family history. It will help your doctor diagnose and determine the type of treatment you will need.
